The Building Energy End-use Study (BEES) is a six-year project monitoring and analysing the energy and water use of commercial buildings. The first nationwide study of its kind in New Zealand, it aims to find out where the greatest energy and water savings can be made.
Seven interim reports have been compiled, covering topics such as temperature control and daylighting. You can find the reports here.
Entries are open in the 2012 Awards that celebrate excellence and innovation in energy efficiency and renewable energy. Entries close on Monday 20 February, and the winner will be announced in May.
There are nine categories: Transport, Large Business, Small Business, Public Sector, Renewable Energy, innovation, Community, Energy Management, and the Outstanding Contribution Award for individuals.
